Fear isn't a pretty thing. It makes people act in ways they normally wouldn't - or, for some, it brings out the worst in their character. Political fear involves the latter. When someone begins to feel that something they value, or feel entitled to, is slipping from their fingers, they get afraid. And in that fear, they start to utilize ridiculous tactics to try and turn the tides back in their favor.

In order to DRIVE, you must be registered with the Texas Department of Public Safety, where you are given a license with your photo on it.
To get a bank account, you must provide photo identification prior to opening the account.
In order to FLY, one must present a photo ID, walk through scanners, and if tagged, participate in a full body pat-down or scan courtesy of the TSA.
