Continue the RNC Rule Changes Fight - Stop the #RNCPowerGrab

Posted by Whitney on August 28, 2012 at 9:20 AM Comments comments (1)

Contrary to widely reported news, a successful compromise has NOT been reached on the RNC Rules Changes fight. I have pasted the most relevant recent updates from delegates and Rules Committee Members at the end of this post.

The RNC attempted another round of trickery by floating, to the media before the delegates, a "compromise" eliminating rule 15/16 but NOT rule 12 which STILL gives them the power to change rules between conventions - thus, providing an opening to go bac...

Grassroots Call To Action: Tampa Delegates Must Read

Posted by Whitney on August 26, 2012 at 7:35 AM Comments comments (0)

A storm is brewing in Tampa and it's not just Hurricane Isaac. Yes, it's cliche and the statement has been used all over the place for the last ten days to describe threats such as a tropical storm, Vice President Joe Biden, and anarchist's attempts to block basic services and access to the convention.

One storm, however, has been significantly overlooked, and until now may have been trying to fly under the radar in a show of unity and support to defeat Barack O...

Women: Take Charge. Be the Force, not the Tool.

Posted by Whitney on August 21, 2012 at 9:15 AM Comments comments (2)

I love working grassroots events and observing the ever increasing numbers of women getting involved - really taking charge and giving back through activism. Women have their finger on the pulse of their families and communities. They know where the REAL action happens (and it isn't in Washington).  Limiting the power of government and returning control where it belongs is a fundamental belief that most women I talk to hold dear.

So why are so many women easily ma...

Accountability, Akin, & the Conservative Conundrum

Posted by Whitney on August 20, 2012 at 8:30 PM Comments comments (3)

"When accountability is inconsistent in application, it becomes nothing more than thinly-veiled blame gaming."

To preface this post, I want to make perfectly clear my severe dislike of the topic.  Every tap of my fingers on the keyboard elicits increased anger aimed at multiple individuals. While I have firm beliefs in social issues, I do NOT believe they belong in the hands of my government, pro or con. They belong in my hands, my family, and in my ...

Is The Dewhurst Campaign in Violation of the FEC?

Posted by Whitney on July 18, 2012 at 2:55 PM Comments comments (2)

Recently, several bloggers and Twitter users, myself included, have worked to expose and raise awareness of a fake "Fact Checking" Twitter account and website set up by the Dewhurst campaign. The Twitter page does NOT disclose that they are run by and paid for by the campaign, but does link to a website where, at the bottom of the page, one can find a disclosure.

Why Do I Support Ted Cruz? The Interviews.

Posted by Whitney on July 12, 2012 at 11:30 PM Comments comments (0)

During the last few weeks, I have been blessed with the excellent opportunity to give radio and web interviews regarding my support for Texas Senate candidate Ted Cruz.

On July 1st, I was a guest co-host of the Ted Cruz Special on Conservative Nation Radio's "Soldiers of Patriotism" show with Michael Smith (

Fiscal Friday: Paul Ryan 2.0

Posted by Whitney on March 23, 2012 at 1:20 PM Comments comments (1)

Americans are pressing the perpetual snooze on the alarm clock of debt.

They are going to wake up one day, very soon, and be a day late and a country short.

While conservatives have been distracted by birth control, Sandra Fluke, and the "war on women," Paul Ryan has been hard at work on a new budget plan aimed at solving the REAL national crisis - our ballooning, out of control debt and deficit p...

The Audacity of the Left: Gloria Allred, Sandra Fluke, and the Attack on Rush.

Well, it seems that the left-wing ambulance chaser has found a new shiny corvette to hitch up with. Check out this article from Politico where Allred is quoted as wanting to prosecute Rush Limbaugh for his comments about "poor" Sandra Fluke.

First of all, when Bill Maher is prosecuted for HIS words, the world could take Allred seriously in her quest to prosecute Rush. When did Maher apologize?...
